Feb. 27 (UPI) -- Michael B. Jordan helps Michael Shannon censor and destroy knowledge by burning books in the first teaser for HBO's upcoming film adaptation of Fahrenheit 451. The clip, released Monday, features Jordan as Guy Montag, a young fireman who struggles with his role as a book burner as he is being mentored by Shannon.

"A little knowledge is a dangerous thing - news, facts, memoirs, internet of old. Burn it," Shannon says. "We are not born equal, so we must be made equal by the fire."
The trailer also features the futuristic and dystopian world the story takes place in. Jordan is seen visiting with children where he explains that no books will be left by the time they grow up.
Based on the classic 1953 Ray Bradbury novel of the same name, Fahrenheit 451, from director Ramin Bahrani, is set to arrive on HBO in May. Sofia Boutella, Lilly Singh, Laura Harrier, and Martin Donovan also star.
