The film, which acts as a sequel to 1995's Jumanji starring Robin Williams, has earned $857 million and counting worldwide since releasing in December.

Rosenberg and Pinkner have also penned Sony's upcoming Spider-Man spinoff film Venom which stars Tom Hardy in the title role.
