He is scheduled to be honored at a ceremony at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, Calif., on March 2.

"Andy Serkis, with his unparalleled flexibility and understanding of movement, has made motion- capture his own. We are delighted that he will be flying in from England to be with us," Steven Poster, national president of the ICG, said in a statement.

Serkis is also known for his portrayal of Gollum in the Lord of the Rings trilogy, as well as the titular beast in the 2005 version of King Kong.
