Dec. 13 (UPI) -- Pitch Perfect 3 star Anna Kendrick says filming the sequel was an "emotional" experience.
The 32-year-old actress, who plays Beca Mitchell in the series, discussed the third and final installment with Entertainment Tonight at the movie's Los Angeles premiere Tuesday.
"When we were wrapping, I sent [Brittany Snow] a note that was like, 'I'll always be the rain cloud to your sunshine,'" she recalled on the red carpet. "I was getting really emotional, way more emotional than I normally do as a rain cloud."
"It was hilarious," the 37-year-old star said before explaining, "The second we felt a huge amount of pressure, and the third one we're like, 'You know what guys? Let's just have fun.'"
"We hope people like it," she added. "We tried to do a movie that was different enough but still had a lot of the same things that people love about the Pitch Perfect movies."
The original Pitch Perfect opened in 2012 and was followed by Pitch Perfect 2 in 2015. The third installment will follow Beca, Fat Amy and the rest of the Bellas as they perform a final time on a USO tour.
