Teaser released for animated movie 'Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse'

Dec. 9 (UPI) -- Sony Pictures released a teaser for its animated film Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse Saturday.

The movie is being produced by Christopher Miller and Phil Lord, and will feature Shameik Moore in the lead vocal role of Miles Morales/Spider-Man. It is set for release Dec. 14, 2018.

"Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse introduces Brooklyn teen Miles Morales, and the limitless possibilities of the Spider-Verse, where more than one can wear the mask," the studio said in a news release announcing its preview clip.

Lord penned the screenplay, which is based on a Marvel comic-book series.
