Nov. 9 (UPI) -- Author David Barclay Moore announced Thursday via Twitter that Michael B. Jordan will direct the movie version of his novel The Stars Beneath Our Feet.
"I can now finally announce that super-actor @michaelb4jordan will be directing the film adaptation of #TheStarsBeneathOurFeet with me attached as screenwriter and exec. prod. Michael is a hardworking, passionate multi-talent. I know his film will rock. So excited.Thanks! DBM," Moore tweeted.
Deadline.com said this will mark the feature directorial debut for Jordan. He is working with Endeavor Content, which holds the film rights to the young-adult novel about an imaginative, African-American teen coping with the death of his brother.
Jordan, 30, re-tweeted Moore's message. He will soon be seen in the Marvel movie Black Panther and his other acting credits include Creed and Fruitvale Station.
