'This Is Us' star Milo Ventimiglia joins Jennifer Lopez in 'Second Act'

Nov. 2 (UPI) -- This Is Us star Milo Ventimiglia has been cast in Jennifer Lopez's upcoming romantic comedy, Second Act.

Ventimiglia will be featured in the film as Lopez's longtime boyfriend, Variety reported.

Second Act, from director Peter Segal, will follow Lopez, a retail store employee who is given the chance to prove to Madison Avenue that street smarts are as valuable as a college education, noted Deadline.

Ventimiglia and Lopez will be joined by Leah Remini who will portray Lopez's best friend and Vanessa Hudgens as an executive at a consumer goods company. Dan Bucatinsky, Annaleigh Ashford, and Freddie Stroma also star.

Ventimiglia was recently nominated for an Emmy for his role as Jack Pearson on NBC's This Is Us.
