'Blade Runner 2049' tops the North American box office with $31.5M

Oct. 8 (UPI) -- The Harrison Ford-Ryan Gosling sci-fi movie Blade Runner 2049 is the No. 1 movie in North America, earning $31.5 million in receipts, BoxOfficeMojo.com announced Sunday.

Coming in at No. 2 is The Mountain Between Us with $10.1 million, followed by It at No. 3 with $9.7 million, My Little Pony: The Movie at No. 4 with $8.8 million and Kingsman: The Golden Circle at No. 5 with $8.1 million.

Rounding out the top tier are American Made at No. 6 with $8 million, The LEGO Ninjago Movie at No. 7 with $6.8 million, Victoria and Abdul at No. 8 with $4.1 million, Flatliners at No. 9 with $3.8 million and Battle of the Sexes at No. 10 $2.4 million.
