Keanu Reeves unveils first trailer for 'Replicas' at New York Comic Con

Oct. 5 (UPI) -- Actor Keanu Reeves and director Jeffrey Nachmanoff brought the first trailer for their upcoming science-fiction movie Replicas to New York Comic Con Thursday.

Co-starring Alice Eve and Thomas Middleditch, the film is about a neuro-scientist close to successfully transferring human consciousness to a computer when his family is killed in a car crash.

"Desperate to resurrect them, William recruits fellow scientist Ed Whittle to help him secretly clone their bodies and create replicas," said a synopsis that accompanied the 2-minute preview on YouTube.

The film is expected to be released next year.
