Sept. 29 (UPI) -- Owen Wilson and Ed Helms are on a journey to meet their father in the first trailer for the upcoming comedy Father Figures.
The clip released Thursday features the duo learning from their mother played by Glenn Close that she had lied to them for years about the true identity of their father.
This sends Wilson and Helms on an epic road trip where they encounter the men who could potentially be their father -- including NFL Hall of Famer Terry Bradshaw, J.K. Simmons, Ving Rhames and Christopher Walken.
Comedian Katt Williams is also featured in the trailer as a hitchhiker who accompanies the siblings on their trip.
"Wilson and Helms are Kyle and Peter Reynolds, brothers whose eccentric mother raised them to believe their father had died when they were young. When they discover this to be a lie, they set out together to find their real father, and end up learning more about their mother than they probably ever wanted to know," reads the synopsis.
Father Figures, which is the directorial debut of cinematographer Lawrence Sher (The Hangover), is due in theaters on Dec. 22.
