"Lara Croft, the fiercely independent daughter of a missing adventurer, must push herself beyond her limits when she finds herself on the island where her father disappeared," reads the synopsis.

The film directed by Roar Uthaug, also stars Dominic West, Walton Goggins and Danile Wu.

Based on the most recent reboot of the video game series from publisher Square Enix and developers Crystal Dynamics and Eidos Montreal, the film features a more realistic take on Lara Croft as she grows into becoming a true action hero.

Tomb Raider is set to arrive in theaters on March 16, 2018.
