Sept. 19 (UPI) -- Mark Hamill teased the release date of the next trailer for Star Wars: The Last Jedi in a now-deleted tweet.

"Watch Monday Night Football on Monday October 9th- for no reason in particular," Hamill wrote to a fan Tuesday who stated to the actor that it was a good time to release another trailer, Polygon reported.

After deleting the tweet, Hamill seemed to backtrack on his statement when answering a fan's question regarding the proposed Oct. 9 release date.

"I have no idea. Disney will announce when they are ready. #WaitForVIIITrailer," he wrote.

The first and only trailer for The Last Jedi was released in April during Star Wars Celebration in Orlando. The clip featured Rey (Daisy Ridley) training with Hamill's Luke Skywalker. Finn (John Boyega), Poe Dameron (Oscar Isaac), General Leia Organa (Carrie Fisher) Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) and droid BB-8 were also shown along with an epic space battle.

Notably, a new trailer for The Force Awakens was released during an October airing of Monday Night Football in 2015.
