Sept. 13 (UPI) -- Mike Myers is being eyed to star in director Bryan Singer's upcoming Queen biopic, Bohemian Rhapsody. The comedian is in negotiations to star in the film in an unknown role, Deadline reported.
Myers would be joining Mr. Robot star Rami Malek who is set to portray Queen frontman Freddie Mercury. Recently, Malek called costume tests for the role "overwhelmingly cool."
Myers shares a connection with Queen as the 54-year-old famously performed the song "Bohemian Rhapsody" during an opening scene in 1992's Wayne's World.
The scene featured Myers as Wayne Campbell alongside Dana Garvey as Garth Algar and friends as they sang the tune while driving in a car.
Bohemian Rhapsody is being scripted by Anthony McCarten while Queen members Brian May and Roger Taylor are serving as music producers.
