Sept. 12 (UPI) -- James Franco and Seth Rogen appear in the hilarious new trailer for A24's The Disaster Artist.

"Based on Greg Sestero's best-selling tell-all about the making of Tommy Wiseau's cult-classic disasterpiece The Room," boasts a message accompanying the 2-minute preview on YouTube.

The clip shows Franco as a struggling, Polish-American actor who decides to make his own movie after no one will hire him.

The Disaster Artist -- which Franco also directed -- is set for release Dec. 1. It co-stars his real-life brother Dave Franco, as well as Josh Hutcherson, Zac Efron, Hannibal Buress, Melanie Griffith, Sharon Stone and Jacki Weaver.

Rogen and the Franco brothers have collaborated on numerous projects throughout the years. Rogen and Dave Franco co-starred in two Neighbors comedies, while Rogen and James Franco have worked together in Freaks and Geeks, Knocked Up, Pineapple Express, This is the End, Interview and Sausage Party.
