"You know what amazes me about you?" Carell asks Cranston in the trailer. "You turn the keys to your bar over to the guy who's asleep on your pool table. And then you jump in your car and you drive me to hell and gone, and you don't even know where we're going,"

"In 2003, 30 years after they served together in the Vietnam War, former Navy Corps medic Richard "Doc" Shepherd (Carell) re-unites with ex-Marines Sal (Cranston) and Mueller (Fishburne) on a different type of mission: to bury Doc's son, a young Marine killed in the Iraq War," reads the synopsis.

"Along the way, Doc, Sal and Mueller reminisce and come to terms with shared experiences of the war that continue to shape their lives," it continues.

Last Flag Flying is based on the novel of the same name by author Darryl Ponicsan. Director Richard Linklater co-wrote the script along with Ponicsan, Variety reported.
