Aug. 22 (UPI) -- Actor Dolph Lundgren posted a video to Instagram hinting that he's getting in shape to star in Creed 2.

"Getting ready for something big!" Lundgren wrote in the caption to a video of him lifting weights, doing push-ups and throwing punches. He also tagged Sylvester Stallone and included the hashtag #Creed2.

Lundgren played a Soviet boxer named Ivan Drago in Rocky 4, opposite Stallone's famed Rocky character.

In July, Stallone announced on Instagram that he finished a draft of the Creed 2 script and that he is working on a screenplay for Creed 2 and MGM CEO Gary Barber has said he is on board to produce a sequel to the 2015 hit starring Michael B. Jordan as Adonis Creed.

Details on the plot have not been released.

In Rocky 4, Lundgren's character kills Apollo Creed, the father of Adonis Creed, in the ring. Movie websites have suggested that an obvious plotline would be a sort of rematch between Adonis Creed and Ivan Drago's son.

Back in 2016, TMZ asked Lundgren if he thought a hypothetical rematch between the sons of two fictional characters would have the same deadly result as their fathers' meeting, the Swedish-born actor said, "Well, that's probably what would happen, yeah."
