Aug. 1 (UPI) -- Former Suite Life of Zack and Cody star Dylan Sprouse will star in a new movie.

The 24-year-old actor announced on Instagram Stories that he will return to acting in the new film Carte Blanche, according to MTV.

Sprouse will co-star with Palo Alto actor Jack Kilmer and Pride and Prejudice and Zombies actress Suki Waterhouse. Eva Dolezalova, who will direct the movie, shared a series of photos from the film's set on Instagram.

"#CarteBlanche Day 2," she captioned a picture of Sprouse.

Sprouse last played Zack Martin in the Suite Life of Zack and Cody sequel series The Suite Life on Deck, which ended in 2011 after three seasons on the Disney Channel. He told the New York Daily News in January that he was open to returning to acting.

"I'm interested in roles that are human, that have some sort of empathic quality," the star said. "A role I would not do: cool jock."

"That's not something I'd be interested in doing. Scripts that make characters a two-sentence description, I'm not interested in," he added.

Sprouse co-starred in The Suite Life of Zack and Cody and The Suite Life on Deck with his twin brother, Cole Sprouse. Cole now plays Jughead on The CW series Riverdale, which will return for a second season in October.
