"When an experienced detective is placed undercover at a local middle school, he must learn to work with a confident and intelligent 12-year old on a high-profile case," a press release from Universal Pictures Home Entertainment said. "While their characters couldn't be more different, Lou and Lulu's on-screen chemistry is undeniable."

The film is billed as "the next installment of the Cop and a Half franchise."

The first chapter hit theaters in 1993 and starred Burt Reynolds as a detective and a precocious 8-year-old played by Norman D. Golden II as unlikely partners solving a crime together.
