The HBO star joins a star-studded voice cast that already includes Billy Eichner and Seth Rogen as Timon and Pumbaa along with Donald Glover as Simba and James Earl Jones reprising his role as Mufasa. Beyonce is rumored to be appearing as Nala.

The Lion King, directed by Jon Favreau from a script by Jeff Nathanson, is set to arrive in theaters July 18, 2019.
