May 26 (UPI) -- Gal Gadot and Chris Pine dazzled on the red carpet Thursday. The 32-year-old actress and 36-year-old actor attended the Los Angeles premiere of their film Wonder Woman at the Pantages Theatre in Hollywood.
Gadot stunned in a red, sequined Givenchy gown with cutout detail, while Pine looked dapper in a navy suit. The pair were joined by director Patty Jenkins and Lynda Carter, who played Wonder Woman in the 1970s TV series Wonder Woman.
"I just love her very much so," Gadot said of Carter to Entertainment Tonight. "She's such a special woman and a unique person and it's always great to see her, especially tonight where she's going to see the movie for the first time."
"I am the bearer of the torch and now I'm passing it forward to Gal and to Patty," Carter added. "The three of us share some sisterhood by living and breathing this character."
Gadot and Pine's co-stars Robin Wright, Danny Huston, Connie Nielsen and Elena Anaya also attended the premiere. Gadot discussed the film Friday on Good Morning America.
"I think it's so important that girls and boys have a strong female figure to look up to," she said. "We always had Superman and Batman, which is awesome, but it's also very important for all of us to have this amazing character."
Wonder Woman opens in theaters June 2.
