The 35-year-old actress introduced dad Gordon Schumer to Hawn, "the love of his life," at his assisted living facility Tuesday.
"My dad meeting the love of his life @officialgoldiehawn," she captioned a video of the sweet moment on Instagram.
Amy Schumer, who co-stars with Hawn in the new movie Snatched, later discussed her dad with Entertainment Tonight at the film's New York premiere. Gordon Schumer was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis when she was 12 years old.
"He has just loved her forever," the star shared. "In the assisted living place where he lives, he has her picture over his bed. Our whole family loves Goldie, but he's just been looking forward to meeting her for so long. It was really beautiful to see them meet."
"Now he thinks I've finally made it," she joked. "He's like, 'You know Goldie Hawn?'"
Snatched stars Amy Schumer and Hawn as a daughter and mother kidnapped on a trip to South America, and opens in theaters May 12. Amy Schumer previously opened up about her dad's MS battle in an interview with Barbara Walters in 2015.
"He's not good," she confessed. "Some days he's really good and he's with it and we're joking around. And some days I go to visit my dad and it's so painful. I can't believe it."
