'Annabelle: Creation' gets a creepy first trailer

April 3 (UPI) -- The 2 1/2-minute, first trailer for the horror movie Annabelle: Creation has gotten nearly 3 million views on YouTube since it was released Saturday.

The fourth installment in The Conjuring franchise is set to open in theaters on Aug. 11.

Directed by David F. Sandberg, the film stars Stephanie Sigman, Talitha Bateman, Lulu Wilson, Philippa Anne Coulthard, Grace Fulton, Lou Lou Safran, Samara Lee, Tayler Buck, Anthony LaPaglia and Miranda Otto.

"Several years after the tragic death of their little girl, a dollmaker and his wife welcome a nun and several girls from a shuttered orphanage into their home, soon becoming the target of the dollmaker's possessed creation, Annabelle," said a synopsis that accompanied the preview clip.
