March 23 (UPI) -- Zac Efron says wearing heels was the "hardest" part of his movie Baywatch.

The 29-year-old actor gave a shoutout Wednesday on Twitter to "ladies who can handle heels" after a new trailer for the movie showed him dressed as a woman.

"Mad respect to all the ladies who can handle heels. 1 of my hardest stunts EVER on #Baywatch," he tweeted to his 13.4 million followers.

Efron sports stiletto booties, a minidress and a sunhat as part of an undercover mission in the trailer, which debuted earlier in the day. The preview also featured other funny moments between the actor and co-star Dwayne Johnson.

Efron and Johnson will play Matt Brody and Mitch Buchannnon in Baywatch, which opens in theaters May 26. The film is directed by Horrible Bosses helmer Seth Gordon, and co-stars Alexandra Daddario, Kelly Rohrbach and Priyanka Chopra.

"I play Matt Brody," Efron told Entertainment Tonight in 2016. "He's sort of like the brash, young recruit. He doesn't necessarily see eye-to-eye with Mitch on many things."

Efron is known for the Disney Channel movie High School Musical, and has since starred in Neighbors and Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates. Paris Jackson, the only daughter of late singer Michael Jackson, said on The Tonight Show this week that Efron once left her "heartbroken" at a concert.
