'Alien: Covenant' official trailer features new Xenomorph

March 1 (UPI) -- Katherine Waterston and Danny McBride are fighting to survive against a Xenomorph in the latest trailer for Alien: Covenant.

The clip, released Tuesday, begins with the new crew of colony ship Covenant landing on a strange, empty planet that resembles earth.

Before long, the crew discovers that the uncharted paradise is actually home to the deadly Xenomorph's who begin terrorizing the colonists in violent fashion.

"All of this, to start our new life," Waterston says.

A fully-grown Xenomorph is showcased at the end as it bashes its head into glass in order to reach McBride.

Directed by Ridley Scott, Alien: Covenant also stars Michael Fassbender, Noomi Rapace, Billy Crudup, Guy Pearce and James Franco. The film arrives in theaters May 19.
