Feb. 15 (UPI) -- Harry Potter actress Scarlett Byrne will appear nude in Playboy.
The 26-year-old English star announced in an Instagram post Monday that she will be featured in the magazine's March/April issue. Byrne got engaged to Cooper Hefner, the son of Playboy founder Hugh Hefner, in 2015.
"I'm very proud to be a part of the March/April issue of Playboy. I penned a short essay along with my pictoral titled, 'The Feminist Mystique,'" the actress captioned a photo from her shoot.
"A big thank you to @Playboy, the creative team, and @cooperhefner for such a unique opportunity. #NakedisNormal," she added.
Byrne's post follows word that Playboy will bring back nudity in the new issue. The company had announced in October 2015 that it would no longer publish naked photos amid concern about women's portrayal in the media.
"I'll be the first to admit that the way in which the magazine portrayed nudity was dated, but removing it entirely was a mistake," Cooper, who replaced Hugh as Playboy chief creative officer in 2016, explained Monday on Twitter.
"Nudity was never the problem, because nudity isn't a problem. Today we're taking our identity back and reclaiming who we are," he said.
Byrne is known for playing Slytherin witch Pansy Parkinson in the Harry Potter movies, and has since portrayed Lexi on Falling Skies and Nora on The Vampire Diaries. She will next star in Skybound with Rick Cosnett.
