Feb. 6 (UPI) -- The universe's most unlikely band of heroes added new members in the latest trailer for Marvel's upcoming sci-fi epic, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2.

The clip, which aired during Super Bowl LI Sunday, features Star-Lord (Chris Pratt), Gamora (Zoe Saldana), Drax the Destroyer (Dave Bautista), Rocket (Bradley Cooper) and Baby Groot (Vin Diesel) getting chewed out by a golden, galactic leader who asks, "Just who in the hell do you think you are?"

The crew is seen in action as Gamora fires off a large weapon and Drax jumps head-first into a tentacled monster before new teammates Yondu (Michael Rooker) and Nebula (Karen Gillan) from the first film along with series newcomer Mantis (Pom Klementieff) are introduced.

"He says welcome to the frickin' Guardians of the Galaxy, only he didn't say frickin'," Rocket says to Yondu while translating for Baby Groot.

The trailer ends with the team posing heroically before Mantis is comically struck down by a blast to which Drax responds too late, "Look out!"

Directed by James Gunn, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.2 arrives in theaters May 5, 2017.
