Johnny Knoxville to star in theme park comedy 'Action Park'

Feb. 2 (UPI) -- Johnny Knoxville has signed on to star in a theme-park set comedy titled Action Park.

The film will revolve around Knoxville and a group of friends irresponsibly designing and operating their own theme park, Variety reports.

Knoxville is producing the film with Billy Gerber and Derek Freda under his Dickhouse Pictures banner and Paramount.

Knoxville is also penning the script alongside John Altshuler and Dave Krinsky.

Directed by Tim Kirby, the film is set to begin production in March in South Africa.

Action Park marks the fifth film between Knoxville and Paramount following a trio of Jackass movies and 2013's Jackass Presents: Bad Grandpa which grossed $152 million worldwide on a $15 million budget.
