'Split' is the No. 1 movie in North America for a second week

Jan. 29 (UPI) -- The horror flick Split is the No. 1 movie in North America for a second weekend after earning an additional $26.3 million in receipts, BoxOfficeMojo.com announced Sunday.

Coming in at No. 2 with $18.4 million is A Dog's Purpose, followed by Hidden Figures at No. 3 with $14 million, Resident Evil: The Final Chapter at No. 4 with $13.9 million and La La Land at No. 5 with $12.1 million.

Rounding out the top tier are xXx: The Return of Xander Cage at No. 6 with $8.3 million, Sing at No. 7 with $6.2 million, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story at No. 8 with $5.1 million, Monster Trucks at No. 9 with $4.1 million and Gold at No. 10 with $3.5 million.
