NEW YORK, Dec. 29 (UPI) -- Liam Neeson admits he and his A Monster Calls co-star Felicity Jones haven't spoken about their common experience of appearing in Star Wars movies.

Neeson played Qui-Gon Jinn in 1999's Star Wars: Episode I: The Phantom Menace and Jones can now be seen in the blockbuster Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.

Asked during a recent round-table interview with reporters in New York if Jones asked him what it was like to step into the Star Wars universe, Neeson replied: "No, no, no. Not at all."

So, what advice would he have imparted if she did?

"I would have said to her, if she was here now, I'd say, all this junket stuff you have to do," he laughed. "That's what we have to do. And it's fine, it's great. ... Because you want people to see your movie. But, just try and keep a bit of mystery. It's like I'm so sick of seeing, reading about actors or actresses and stuff, you're saying, 'Oh, I wish I hadn't read that.' Just keep a bit of mystery. And I think audiences do [think that,] too. Deep, deep down, they don't want to know all the answers, what you had for breakfast and all the rest of it."
