LOS ANGELES, Dec. 9 (UPI) -- The next entry in the Fast and Furious series Fast 8, has received a new title alongside a new, 15-second teaser trailer.
Revealed Friday ahead of Sunday's planned full-length trailer launch, the film is now titled The Fate of the Furious.
The short clip features franchise stars Vin Diesel, Dwayne Johnson, Michelle Rodriguez and Tyrese Gibson and newcomer Charlize Theron amongst a flurry of explosions, fast cars and an intense sequence taking place on an icy plain.
"Now that Dom (Diesel) and Letty (Rodriguez) are on their honeymoon and Brian (Paul Walker) and Mia (Jordana Brewster) have retired from the game—and the rest of the crew has been exonerated—the globetrotting team has found a semblance of a normal life," reads the film's official synopsis.
"But when a mysterious woman (Theron) seduces Dom into the world of crime he can't seem to escape and a betrayal of those closest to him, they will face trials that will test them as never before," it continues.
The Fate of the Furious is set to arrive in theaters April 14, 2017.
