NEW YORK, Nov. 28 (UPI) -- The Grand Budapest Hotel and The Royal Tenenbaums filmmaker Wes Anderson has created a 4-minute, holiday short for the H&M clothing chain.
With "The Little Drummer Boy" playing in the background, the mini-movie "Come Together" depicts Adrien Brody as H&M Lines Winter Express train conductor Ralph, who has the lamentable task of announcing on Dec. 25 that "challenging" weather and mechanical difficulties will delay their arrival so much they will likely miss their Christmas plans.
The camera then pans to the sad faces of the passengers -- including a little boy -- as they mope in their own compartments.
The conductor invites them for "a small, complimentary, Christmas brunch, including chocolate-flavored hot beverage with whipped topping" in 20 minutes, and Ralph calmly contacts the station manager to request supplies, moments later, leaning out the train window and using a hook to grab a mailbag and an evergreen tree as they pass the platform.
The screen reads "19 minutes later," and all of the passengers are seen filing out of their rooms, presumably wearing H&M clothing, and heading to brunch.
The music switches to John Lennon's "Happy Xmas [War is Over]" as the group gathers in a beautifully festooned dining room, with the little boy the last to arrive. Ralph places a Santa hat on the boy's head and the child helps place a star on the tree. The clip ends with the boy drinking a cup of hot cocoa and everyone smiling.
"Discover the H&M Christmas 2016 collection and see the new film directed by Wes Anderson, starring Adrien Brody," reads a message accompanying the video on YouTube.
Brody and Anderson previously collaborated on the 2007 train-themed dramedy The Darjeeling Limited.
