LOS ANGELES, Nov. 11 (UPI) -- The eternal war between Lycan's and Vampire's continues in the latest trailer for Underworld: Blood Wars.

As she travels to find a new way to win the war, Selene is confronted by the new leader of the Lycans, Marius who is after her blood in order to become stronger.

"Under the new leadership of Marius, the Lycans have increased in numbers and strength and have decimated many of the vampire covens throughout the world," reads the offcial synopsis.

"With the Vampire race being on the brink of extinction, it is up to Selene to save the very coven which banished her and hunted her down as a criminal. Selene must become stronger than ever to defeat what's in store for her next," it continues.

Beckinsale first appeared as Selene in the first Underworld film released in 2003 and again in the second and fourth entries in the series. The third installment was a prequel that did not feature the actress.
