McAdams turned heads in a strapless Atelier Versace gown with satin detail and purple lining. The star plays Christine Palmer, a surgeon and Doctor Strange's (Benedict Cumberbatch) love interest, in the film.

"We wanted a grounded character," Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige said of Christine to Slash Film in September. "We wanted a character that was a connection to Strange's life in New York City, in the normal world."

"[Rachel] is great and can bring again a grounded reality to the character of Strange at the beginning of the film and of course as she encounters some odd and strange and other-worldly when he encounters her late in the movie," he added.

Cumberbatch, Tilda Swinton and Mads Mikkelson, Benedict Wong and Benjamin Bratt were also present at the premiere. The movie also co-stars Chiwetel Ejiofor, Michael Stuhlbarg and Scott Adkins.
