Lizzy Caplan, Mackenzie Davis, Ruby Rose vying for the role of Domino in 'Deadpool' sequel

LOS ANGELES, Oct. 20 (UPI) -- Ten actresses are reportedly being considered for the role of Domino, the mutant mercenary who teams up with Deadpool in the film's upcoming sequel.

Director Tim Miller has begun testing for the role, with nearly a dozen actresses to choose from.

Lizzy Caplan, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Sienna Miller, Sofia Boutella, Stephanie Sigman, Sylvia Hoeks, Kelly Rohrbach, Eve Hewson, Mackenzie Davis, and Ruby Rose are all in the running for the film's female lead.

Domino, whose real name is Neena Thurman, is best known for her time in the X-Force, the offshoot branch of the X-Men.

The film, which doesn't have a release date, is the followup to the 2016 blockbuster starring Ryan Reynolds as foul-mouthed antihero, Deadpool.

Deadpool earned more the $780 million, making it the highest-grossing R-rated film of all time.
