NEW YORK, Oct. 9 (UPI) -- Matt Damon celebrated his 46th birthday at New York Comic Con Saturday.
The Hollywood actor was at the event to take part in the screening of a new trailer for his upcoming, China-set, creature feature The Great Wall.
Thousands of fans packed the theater at Madison Square Garden to get a sneak peek of the English-language movie. They also enthusiastically sang "Happy Birthday" to Damon, who participated with his co-stars Pedro Pascal, Jing Tian and Junkai Wang, as well as their director Zhang Yimou, in a question-and-answer session about the film.
Set for a February release, The Great Wall tells the story of "an elite force making a valiant stand for humanity on the world's most iconic structure," a synopsis noted.
