LOS ANGELES, Oct. 2 (UPI) -- Disney released Sunday a teaser trailer for its upcoming, high-seas adventure Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales. This is the fifth installment in the blockbuster film franchise, which stars Johnny Depp as Capt. Jack Sparrow. It is also the first new Pirates of the Caribbean epic since 2011's On Stranger Tides.

Javier Bardem will co-star in the movie, along with Geoffrey Rush and Orlando Bloom.
"Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales is in theaters May 2017 in 3D, RealD 3D and IMAX 3D! Watch first look. #APiratesDeathForMe," reads a message that accompanied Sunday's video clip on YouTube.
The footage shows a battle scene on a burning ship, then Bardem's ghostly pirate picking up a "wanted" poster bearing Sparrow's likeness, and demanding a young prisoner find him.
Depp has appeared in the films Black Mass and Alice Through the Looking Glass since he last played Sparrow. Recent months have seen him embroiled in a high-profile divorce battle with his estranged wife Amber Heard, as well.
