LOS ANGELES, Sept. 29 (UPI) -- Keanu Reeves returns with a new dog in a first promo for John Wick: Chapter 2.
The John Wick sequel released a photo Wednesday of the titular hitman (Reeves) and his new pooch walking on the Brooklyn Bridge in New York.
"A new chapter begins together. #JohnWick2 is coming to #NYCC 10.8.2016," the movie wrote on its official Twitter page.
Reeves, his new co-star Common, returning director Chad Stahelski and producer Basil Iwanyk are confirmed to appear at New York Comic Con in October. The John Wick: Chapter 2 panel will take place Oct. 8.
The original John Wick opened in theaters in 2014 and earned $86 million at the box office. The movie follows a retired hitman as he exacts revenge on the Russian mobsters who stole his car and killed his puppy.
"I love the character," Reeves told Collider in April. "[The sequel has] a cool story to tell that is connected [to the first one]. The second one starts pretty soon after the last one. John suffers and he has this thing he has to do."
