'Suicide Squad' tops the North American box office for third weekend

LOS ANGELES, Aug. 21 (UPI) -- The Will Smith-Margot Robbie action picture Suicide Squad is the No. 1 movie in North America for a third consecutive weekend, earning an additional $20.7 million in receipts, BoxOfficeMojo.com announced Sunday.

Coming in at No. 2 is Sausage Party with $15.3 million, followed by War Dogs at No. 3 with $14.3 million, Kubo and the Two Strings at No. 4 with $12.6 million and Ben-Hur at No. 5 with $11.4 million.

Rounding out the top tier are Pete's Dragon at No. 6 with $11.3 million, Bad Moms at No. 7 with $8.1 million, Jason Bourne at No. 8 with $8 million, The Secret Life of Pets at No. 9 with $5.8 million and Florence Foster Jenkins at No. 10 with $4.3 million.
