LOS ANGELES, Aug. 10 (UPI) -- Salma Hayek showed her playful side at the Sausage Party premiere Tuesday.

The 49-year-old actress, who voices Teresa Taco in the animated movie, cozied up to life-size hot dog and bun mascots at the Los Angeles event at Regency Village Theatre.

Hayek, who stunned on the red carpet in a sheer top and sequined skirt, was all smiles as she posed with the characters. She also played with the premiere's grocery store-themed props, including a shopping cart and fresh produce.

Seth Rogen, Paul Rudd, Danny McBride and Michael Cera were among the other stars who attended the event. The actors voice Frank, Darren, Honey Mustard and Barry, respectively.

Sausage Party is directed by Shrek 2 helmer Conrad Vernon and Greg Tiernan. The comedy follows a supermarket hot dog (Rogen) who attempts to escape his fate after discovering a ugly truth -- humans eat food.

"The whole goal was to make it look like a Pixar movie," the actor said of the raunchy film Monday on The Howard Stern Show. "[Something] we kind of played with is, 'How far can we push this stuff?' We submitted it and we at first got an NC-17 rating back."
