LOS ANGELES, July 25 (UPI) -- The original cast of Trainspotting have reunited in the first teaser trailer for a new sequel now titled T2: Trainspotting.

The clip, released Monday by Sony Pictures Entertainment, features Renton (Ewan McGregor), Spud (Ewen Bremner), Sick Boy (Jonny Lee Miller) and Begbie (Robert Carlyle), standing together on a platform as a train rushes by.

As Iggy Pop's "Lust for Life" plays on the background, the four drug addicts are introduced with orange character cards reminiscent of the first film's iconic poster.

Original director Boyle is back helming the dark comedy sequel that is 20 years in the making. The original Trainspotting released in 1996 helped launch both the careers of McGregor and Boyle.

T2: Trainspotting is coming to theaters February 2017.
