LONDON, July 18 (UPI) -- Mark Hamill channeled The Joker from his latest animated film, Batman: The Killing Joke during a panel at Star Wars Celebration Europe.

Hamill who has voiced the iconic Clown Prince of Crime for decades starting with Batman: The Animated Series in 1992, was asked to perform a teaser of what fans can expect from the animated comic book adaptation in front of a live-audience.

"Memories can be vile, repulsive little brutes. Like children, I suppose," Hamill recited as The Joker before breaking out into the character's signature laugh in a clip from the panel posted by Flicks and the City.

The Killing Joke based on the classic 1988 tale written by Alan Moore and illustrated by Brian Bolland, also stars long-running Batman voice actor Kevin Conroy and Tara Strong as Batgirl. True to the violent content seen in the graphic novel, the animated feature has been rated R.

"The thing is it's not for kids," Hamill said. "Kids will come up to me and say, 'Oh, I'm excited for The Killing Joke.' I said, 'Don't you watch that.'" The story is famous for its plot revolving around The Joker torturing and eventually paralyzing Batgirl inside her own home, leading her to become the wheelchair bound hero Oracle.
