Gibson had orginally appeared in the first three films in the series Transformers, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen and Transformers: Dark of the Moon alongside another returning star Josh Duhamel. The pair had portrayed soldiers who helped the Autobots in their battle against the Decepticons.

The Last Knight due in theaters June 23, 2017, comes out just a few weeks after Gibson will be seen in Fast and Furious 8 which releases on April 14, 2017.

Recently, Bay introduced a new, smaller Autobot set to join the sequel named Squeeks. Decepticon leader Megatron was also confirmed to be returning.

Following The Last Knight, which Bay claims will be his last Transformers film, studio Paramount has already dated the next batch of Transformers films including Transformers 6 on June 8, 2018 and Transformers 7 on June 28, 2019.
