Helen Mirren to co-star in eighth 'Fast and Furious' movie

LOS ANGELES, June 18 (UPI) -- Oscar-winning actress Helen Mirren is to appear in the eighth installment of the Fast and Furious film franchise.

"It doesn't get better than this: Helen Mirren joins the Fast Family in #F8. 4.14.17," the movie's official Twitter account announced this week.

The message accompanied a headshot of the elegant British actress wearing a white cashmere sweater with her chin resting in her hand.

The car-themed, action-adventure movie Fast 8 will once again star series regulars Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez and Chris Bridges. F. Gary Gray is directing.
