Eriq La Salle, Elise Neal join 'Wolverine 3' cast

WASHINGTON, May 6 (UPI) -- Eriq La Salle and Elise Neal have reportedly joined the cast of the third Wolverine film from Marvel.

Although details are remaining under-wraps, the former ER actor and First Impression actress will be seen opposite Hugh Jackman, Patrick Stewart, Boyd Holdbrook and Stephen Merchant, Variety reported.

The tenth film in the X-Men franchise, this Wolverine film takes place after X-Men: Days of Future Past, Deadpool and the upcoming X-Men: Apocalypse, out May 27.

Reports say Fox is expected to release Wolverine 3 on March 3 of next year. James Mangold is directing the project.

An actor and director, newcomer Eriq La Salle has worked on such behind-the-scenes projects as CSI: Cyber, Madame Secretary, Crisis, Battle Creek and Night Shift. He was most recently featured on CBS' A Gifted Man and The Widow Man.

La Salle's first day shooting on his first big film project took place May 4, according to the actor's Twitter account.
