LOS ANGELES, May 1 (UPI) -- Production on Maze Runner: The Death Cure, the third installment in the franchise, has been postponed again to allow actor Dylan O'Brien more time to recover from on-set injuries he sustained in March.
A representative for 20th Century Fox told ABC's Good Morning America Saturday, "We wish Dylan a speedy recovery and look forward to restarting production as soon as possible."
No date was specified.
The 24-year-old actor was working on the film in Canada when a mishap involving a vehicle sent him to the hospital where he was treated for several broken bones.
O'Brien plays Thomas in The Maze Runner movies, which are based on the James Dashner series of books. The first two movies, The Maze Runner and Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials, earned a combined $660 million at the box office.
