The hard-partying, celebrity-obsessed fashionistas -- who find trouble wherever they go -- appeared in a sitcom that ran 1992-96, was revived 2001-04, and was followed by several television specials.

"Appropriate for their big-screen debut, Edina and Patsy are still oozing glitz and glamour, living the high life they are accustomed to; shopping, drinking and clubbing their way around London's trendiest hotspots," said a synopsis that accompanied the trailer on YouTube. "Blamed for a major incident at an uber fashionable launch party, they become entangled in a media storm and are relentlessly pursued by the paparazzi. Fleeing penniless to the glamorous playground of the super-rich, the French Riviera, they hatch a plan to make their escape permanent and live the high life forever more!"

In the 2 1/2-minute preview, the women go on the run after accidentally knocking supermodel Kate Moss into the Thames River. Moss, actor Jon Hamm and fashion designer Stella McCartney are also seen in the trailer.
