WASHINGTON, April 26 (UPI) -- Chris Hemsworth plays the comedic receptionist, Kevin, in director Paul Feig's upcoming Ghostbusters film.

Sony released a new featurette covering the character Tuesday, in which the Australian actor described Kevin as "a big dumb puppy dog," following a clip of his debut in the film.

Hemsworth joins the likes of Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon and Leslie Jones as they take on their city's widespread ghost problem. Throughout the vignette teaser, Hemsworth's oblivious character delivers seemingly natural comedy left and right.

"Chris Hemsworth is a huge comedic talent," director Feig said during the clip.

"There's no way that you're this sweet, this funny, this fine. It's just not fair," co-star Jones added.

The Hunstman: Winter's War and Avengers: Age of Ultron actor comes to the big screen as Kevin the receptionist July 15. Sony has also released several new character posters highlighting the film's leading women and their catchphrases.

The latest shows Leslie Jones' character shooting her proton pack alongside the phrase, "The power of Patty compels you!"

Another poster, released earlier this month, sees McKinnon's spunky character aiming her pack next to the words, "Booyah! Emphasis on the boo."
