In the original comics, The Blob is featured as a devout member of Magneto's villainous Brotherhood of Mutants who continually clash with the X-Men. The Blob is known to have superhuman strength, endurance and near impenetrable skin.

Releasing in theaters May 27, X-Men: Apocalypse features the last of the X-Men remaining from 2014's Days of Future Past including leader Professor X (James McAvoy), Mystique (Jennifer Lawrence) and Beast (Nicholas Hoult) as earth's only defense in the film as they accompany a team of rookie heroes including Cyclops (Tye Sheridan), Jean Grey (Sophie Turner), Quicksilver (Evan Peters) and Nightcrawler (Kodi Smit-McPhee) in order to take on new threat Apocalypse and his Four Horsemen consisting of Magneto (Michael Fassbender), Storm (Alexandra Shipp), Angel (Ben Hardy) and Psylocke (Olivia Munn).
