'The BFG,' 'Nice Guys' and 'Money Monster' to screen at the Cannes Film Festival

CANNES , France, April 14 (UPI) -- Organizers of France's esteemed Cannes Film Festival announced Thursday the lineup for this year's edition, which is to run May 11-22.

Among the pictures to be shown are Pedro Almodovar's Julieta, Jim Jarmusch's Paterson, Ken Loach's I, Daniel Blake and Jeff Nichols' Loving.

Other offerings include Park Chan-Wook's Agassi, Sean Penn's The Last Face, Paul Verhoeven's Elle, Shane Black's The Nice Guys, Jodie Foster's Money Monster and Steven Spielberg's The BFG.

Woody Allen's Café Society was previously announced as the festival's opening film.
