"Thank you for all your submissions! The title for the new ‪#‎UnderworldMovie‬ is Underworld Blood Wars," the franchises official Facebook page stated, referencing an earlier post in which fans were asked to submit ideas for a title.

A new logo accompanied the post with the tagline, "Coming soon to theaters."

According to Empire, Kate Beckinsale will be reprising her role as vampire Selene as she hunts for missing vampire and werewolf hybrid Michael. The actress will be joined by Theo James, Tobias Menzies and Lara Pulver. Production on the project took place last fall in the Czech Republic.

Beckinsale first appeared as Selene in the first Underworld film released in 2003 and again in the second and fourth entries in the series. The third installment was a prequel that did not feature Beckinsale.
